Classic Carbonara
Creamy, cheesy and always a holiday favorite! This Classic Filipino Carbonara recipe is made with crispy bacon, mushrooms, and DEL MONTE Carbonara Sauce tossed with DEL MONTE Spaghetti. It’s an easy pasta dish that’s rich and comforting, a perfect handa this holiday season.

Ingredients
- 250 g bacon, sliced
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1/2 cup button mushroom, canned, sliced
- 1/2 cup onion, red, sliced
- 1 pouch DEL MONTE Carbonara Sauce (400 g)
- 2/3 cup milk, evaporated
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper, black
- 2 pcs egg yolk
- 1 pack DEL MONTE Spaghetti (400 g), cooked
- 6 tbsp cheese, grated
- 6 tbsp cheese, grated
- 4 tbsp parsley, chopped (optional)

Cook the bacon for 10 minutes or until brown and crunchy. Set aside bacon. (600 sec)

In the same pan, sauté mushrooms until browned, then add onion and sauté until aromatic. Add DEL MONTE Carbonara Sauce, evaporated milk, and butter. Season with salt and pepper, then simmer for 5 minutes. (900 sec)

Scoop a portion of sauce into the egg yolk and mix. Return to sauce and turn off the heat. Add cooked pasta, bacon, cheese, and parsley, if desired. (300 sec)
