Crispy hotdog balls get a fun Japanese street-food vibe with a thick, glossy sauce made from Del Monte Sweet Blend Ketchup and the reserved syrup from Del Monte Pineapple Chunks. Finished with a drizzle of mayo and optional nori, it’s sweet, tangy, and dangerously snackable.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 Cup DEL MONTE Sweet Blend Ketchup (320g)
  • 2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
  • 2 Tbsp Sugar, Brown
  • Reserved Pineapple Syrup
  • 2 Tbsp Worcestershire Sauce
  • 2 Tsp Cornstarch
  • 2 Tbsp Oil
  • 500 G Hotdog Balls
  • 1 Pouch DEL MONTE Pineapple Chunks (200g), Drained, Reserve Syrup
  • 2 Tbsp Mayonnaise
  • 1/4 Cup Nori (Optional), Cut Into Strips

Directions

  1. 1.

    In a small saucepan, mix the DEL MONTE Sweet Blend Ketchup, soy sauce, sugar, reserved pineapple syrup, Worcestershire sauce, and cornstarch. Bring to a boil then simmer until thick. Set aside. (600secs)

  2. 2.

    Heat some oil in a pan then fry the hotdog balls for 3 - 4 minutes over medium heat. (300secs)

  3. 3.

    Pour the cooked sauce over the hotdogs and add the DEL MONTE Pineapple Chunks. Cook for 1 minute. Transfer to a plate. Drizzle mayonnaise on top then sprinkle nori, if desired. (180secs)
